Domain name renewal question

    Hi guyz,

One of my domains is expiring within the next 59 days. Can it be renewed now? I am a bit confused because there is some 60 day policy for domain transfers. Is any similar policy applicable here?

    Thank you

the domain can be renewed anytime you want to. If your registrar has a control panel for quick renewing then it can be done easily otherwise you should ask someone from support.

Domains can be renewed at any time. You just need to go to your control panel to renew it. However, the procedure of the renewal may differ from registrar to registrar.

you can even renew your domain 1 day prior to the expiry date. BUT, if you want to transfer the domain name to other registrar, you have to do it at least 7 days prior to expiration.

Once the domain expires, you need to renew it with your current registrar (no choice!)

The 60 day transfer you're probably referring to is when you do a brand new reg with Godaddy, you have to wait 60 days before you can transfer out to another company.
