I need a dedi. Specs are easy It should have Windows Server 2003 with RDC Around 30-50 Gb space 100 mbit -200Mbit It will be used to upload stuffs such as warez, and then raring them and then uploading to rapidshare and other hosters. No warez will be stored on the server. It will for 5 mins and will be deleted! Upload speed should be around 20-30 Mb/sec and finally price should be less than 40$ ( can extend to some extent) Thanks, M0h4n
Sorry but this is impossible to offer, that kind of bandwidth you are looking at 500 USD min. And thats just for if you used low bandwidth. Also if its there for 5 minutes its still illegal. Plus windows servers are a min 15 / Month just for windows. So with all this said, if you really want to do this you need to change the following - need offshore warez allowed server - lower Bandwidth needs in terms of speed - Must it be windows? - Raise your Budget So helpful tips I hope you find your server. Good luck. *this is an informitive post I hope I have gave you some info which you can use, a rep would be great **
No way, it's impossible. 100-200 Mbit unmetered port is very expensive. It will have to be offshore, which is even more expensive. Windows is more expensive (and linux kicks it's ass) It is almost/is impossible to get any dedicated servers for that price. As Kevin said, $500/month minimum for something like that.
With all due respect, I think all members should atleast consider twice before they start a thread ... I mean cmon' .. 200mbit ??? Dedicated ?? Windows ?? warez ?? and to top it all under $40 ?? A VPS with your specifications ( if you find one ) would run into atleast low xxx .. No offence .. but I'm going to disregard this thread as a practical joke... cheers... ashagg
Hmm...While i agree to some extent, if you could live with lets say 600GB bandwidth on a 100mbit shared port, then a VPS of that specs(not even offshore) would run you around $75/mo MINIMUM....Thats probably without sophisticated RAID arrays on the server, and with a desktop class core2quad chip instead of xeons. Bottom line is that this thread i pretty much as earlier stated, a joke.
$40 would not even cover the software license and power/cooling... Eek... VPS is what you need. That or shared hosting. Or a massive increase in your budget.
