Rapidshare Farewells CAPTCHA (Image Code) And Wait Restrictions For Free Users

    After annoying free users with hard to read CAT CAPTCHA's, World's biggest one click file-hoster Rapidshare has finally done farewell to CAPTCHA altogether, Rapidshare also announced that from now free users will be able to download without any waits until starting a succeeding download, however now free users will be restricted to a maximum speed of 500 kilobit per second.

    Premium users will also now have more flexibility regarding the download volume, now they are able to download a maximum of 10 gigabyte per day and can be "saved" now to a maximum of 50 Gigabyte. As a consequence, the volume that was not used is transferred to the following day automatically, up to a maximum of 50 gigabyte, Also, earlier Premium and Collector's Accounts were credited a RapidPoints when a file was downloaded by a Free User but From now, Premium Downloads can generate up to 255 additional RapidPoints per day. Those extra points will be displayed in the account overview in the Premium or Collector's Zone.Once a day, the extra points will be added to the Premium or Collector's Account's RapidPoints balance and the extra points counter will be reset to zero.

    Just that the files which are eligible to earn you points MUST be larger than 3MB.

    and don't forget the download limit at 500kbps it will take forever to download anything. Time to find aomething else instead rapidshare.

    I dont use RS so much nowdays, how about downloading multiple files, is that going to work.. I believe you had to wait ages to download another file before??

    I believe he's talking about the really long waiting times that free users had to wait before downloading another file but these are gone now.

    its nearly one month from the 1st post
    Free user get 50kb/s but they only allow to DL 1 link at each time + need to wait 78 seconds to DL 100mb files
    So where your get the info from?

    There a lot of ways to get a rapidshare account though, like trading or buying for cheap price, I think it is worth it to just buy one, or you can always use a site to paste your download link without having a rapidshare account ;)

    Yeah its a good move. Those Captchas were really annoying.

    Hmm.. 500kbps is still much better. I download 100mb+ with 5kbps (dialup). So thats not a big problem.
