Had a PR of 8 for about 9 hours last night...what does that mean?

    I've got a relatively new domain with high quality, exclusive content on it. So far its been waiting to pick up PR until the next update. Last night, however, for about 8 hours, it had a PR of 8 according to my FF toolbar. This morning its back to having no PR. Anyone else have this happen?

    It could have been a glitch as I never heard of anything and never faced anything like that.

    Well.. That means that you had about 9 hours to make a small fortune :D

    Like others have said, it may have been a bug.
    Was it just your browser toolbar showing PR-8? did you use some of the online checkers and compare whether there was any difference in the reports?

    My new Favorite..
    Checks multiple Domains.
    I have bookmarked mydomain.com/sitemap.txt on all my sites. I just go there, copy the list and paste it in to the form and Presto! check all pages in my site.. 100 pages at a time :D Got to love the convenience!

    Any violent fluctuation in PR shows activity in the google datacenters but it should not shoot up to PR 8 from no PR. Even if things like this happen, it will never attain PR 8 from no PR :D

    Like what everybody said, it's probably just a bug or a glitch. But from no PR shooting up to 8? That's a big, big leap. For a duration of 9 hours? Whew... think of what you can do with that. LOL

    If you had a pr8 you would know about it, meaning you would know that you even came close to getting pr 8 after all the hard work you have done getting links from high pr sites.
