Do certain country specific TLD's tend to rank better than others in the international search engines? For example, does Google.com love .co.uk 's more than it loves .com.mx 's ?
The most common country tld's I see in search engines are .us and .co.uk actually, I've never seen another country's tld in a search engine.
The country specific domains have varied weightages in the search engine results depending on the searcher's location. For example, if you have a .co.uk domain, then for users searching from UK, google will consider this site to be more relevant than for users searching from the US
That makes perfect sense. But say you're in spain and you search in google.com. I think google will be happier to show you .co.uk 's than to show you, say... co.in 's
