SEO. 2 Domains for one website.

I have a certain website. I'll call it www.mysite.com. I have advertised this website rather extensively in print by way of business cards and literature, emails, etc. It is about cars. In this domain and url I have no mention of the keyword "cars".

Strictly for the purposes of seo, I want to change the url of the website to be www.mycarsite.com(totally fictitious name for this conversation only).
Since I have advertised in print the other url mysite.com I still want to allow customers to find my website at that url, but I want the search engines to be more in tune with the mycarsite.com url.

Can I do this? If so, how would I go about it.?
If you can help me, thanks.

    302 redirects would work.

Redirect all of the old pages over to the new Domain name.

yeah, exactly just redirect the first name to the new name with cars in the url. it's about a 5 minute fix.

302 redirects are for temporary directs... 301 is for permanent redirects.

The 301/302 would work but it really wouldn't give you any seo value -

How about create a keyword heavy page that would be picked up by the search engines and have it automaticly forward to the carsite ;)

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will try to redirect temporarily while I am putting together a keyword heavy page. Once I get the page built I will just forward it to the car site.

    Thanks again everybody
