New Directory -- FREE

Hey guys. I took the plunge and made a directory. The directory sorts alphabetically and does not use PageRank to determine listing order.

I will go through and edit all links added. Please make sure

1. they are relevant to category they are in
2. Must not be PLC sites. Copyscape may be used to determine sites staying in the dir.
---> Allow me to expand here. This means if you have a site and use the content on a few other domains only add the main site (see the example down below). If you add the others they will be removed and I will add a nofollow tag to the main site.
3. Only add your link once.
4. They are not landing, squatting or other useless pages.
5. Links are titled appropriately. If you put A-MyBlog.com just to get listed higher your link will not be approved.
---> allow me to expand on this. unlike Google I think sites should be titled with their title (i.e. ebay is called eBay and not free auction website). Please use the actual title of your site, if your site doesnt have a real title then keep your keyword heavy title to a minimum length. If not I will be less likely to accept the site or the title maybe drastically altered after a review of your site.

individual areas of a site can be added if the area of the site is able to support its own content. (i.e. a gaming new site with a wow news area at wow.gamingnewssite.com could have the wow news under our warcraft category and the normal domain under general gaming stuff).

this is a human edited directory, not a random link dump and not a site I plan to get rich by running. My goal here is to provide a good resource for finding good relevant websites. Not following the above rules and spamming my directory will get your links removed and banned from the directory.

whoever posted the pinball please re-read my instructions. Your game is not a strong enough secondary part of your site to add it to the directory.

please add just your normal site domain.

 

Ok this is not following the rules either so I will use this one to clarify and hopefully make it so everyone understands.

A link was just added:
Title: Babydoll-Sexy Lingerie
Url: spiceupyourlifenow.com/store/c
atalog/index.php?cPath=22

notice that the title says exactly what it is, but the link only shows a few articles of clothing. If its not big enough for a subdirectory then its not good enough to be its own listing.

I had adjusted this listing to:

Title: Spice Up You Life Now
Url spiceupyourlifenow.com

And now the same owner has added a duplicate content site:
http://www.lingeriextc.com/

these are not allowed. anyone who does this will forfeit all their links and their featured links. I will also add a nofollow in these cases.

 

only 3 more free features left.

1. (addendum A) This means that if you want to get listed in the shopping category you had better list a site that sells stuff. Not a blog or review site. If there are a lot of comments about needing areas for these consumer review type sites we will add a category for them.
5. (addendum B) This includes individual products or geographically targeted areas of a site. Just because you sell homes in dallas, houston and los angles doesn't mean you can list all three differently and title each one 'buy [insert city here] homes'. your site must support that it is relevant for you to add so many links or it will be considered spam (hint titling your link correctly and not with anchor text will go a long way to making me think its not spam)
6. I will not accept affiliate sites. However, if your site incorpates affilate ads with unique content then it will be fine. Drop ship sites are ok.

Submitting a link for a single product will need to follow the same rule. If you sell a product that is fairly popular (i.e. GM's Hummer brand) then submitting that area of your site or individual link is fine, however, submitting the 'Turbo Abs Max 9,000,000' is not fine. Just submit your entire site under the appropriate category.

So far I have rejected 100 websites for the violation of the above rules, spamming the site with multiple entries or spamming the same site with different domains into one category.

7. Squeeze pages - to me these are not real websites, but ways of trapping unsuspecting internet surfers and tricking them with lots of wording into buying something they could get free elsewhere, doesnt really work, is outdated or quite frankly useless. Squeeze page sites will be under extreme scrutiny and most will not get approved.

 

Hopefully my site makes it, looks like I might be too late for the free feature upgrade. But if I say I saw the directory link on here will that help?
