Best Logo Designing Software

Can anyone tell me what is the best logo designing software,

And i have one more question too

Can we design logos/banners using photoshop.?

 

1. Considering that a logo is used in different medias (print, web, videos, etc) the best (and professional) way to do them is as vectors, and the leading software is without doubts Adobe Illustrator.

2. You can do both. Again, you better stay doing logos using Illustrator, and you will be fine using Photoshop for your banners. You can actually add Adobe Flash for your banners specially if interactivity is needed.

 

The best logo designing software is Photoshop. (for website logos vector based software is not needed. also photoshop is easy to use.

 

I do agree with Dr. SEOman that photoshop is probably the best tool for designing logos. I have seen lots of graphic artists that design logos with it and it just is awesome. Aside from that, it's easy to use...

 

with 3 years experience & a long client list.... VECTOR software is the ONLY way to go for your logo's.. with a vector software you can render the logo for Both Web (Raster) or Print (Vector) extensions. With an image manipulation / Paint software such as photoshop, you can Only render in Paint/Raster extensions.

Professionals provide their clients with Both Web & Print versions of the logo. This eliminates the client from coming back later asking for their logo to be converted to vector (Which happens a lot when their business grows & they find that raster is NOT as flexible as Vector).

In short, I have to fully agree with Rubenator. If you want to do it the right (Professional) way stick with Vector software's for logo's. If you don't care, then follow the obvious newbie suggestions & use a strictly paint software that will have your clients seeking a professional designer later to fix / convert the logo.

Adobe Illustrator is currently the industries Standard on Vector Design software, However their are more cost effective alternatives out there.

In my opinion photoshop is perfect for those designers not so advanced as those one who should use illustrator.

 

Scorpionagency is 100% right. For real logo design a vector program should be used.

Of course, there are many "designers" providing their clients with a "logo" (which in fact is usually a header) in raster format. Thanks to this practice, I have a continuous stream of the clients asking for their bitmap logo to be vectorized

Use a vector program for your logos and not a raster one.
Give a try at inkscape (i use it for years) You can also find some really nice tutorials on youtube

 

Are you talking about Vector works.

 

Actually there are Several software's on the market today for Vector design. The leading industry standard right now is Adobe Illustrator. Other vector software's that are useful are: Serif DrawPlus x2, CorelDraw x3, CuteDraw, VectorWorks, & MORE!

If you don't have the budget to invest in a vector software, the Free OpenSource InkScape Vector software is a good choice.

I would definitely say Illustrator. Vector is the way to go.

You can always do a little post work in Photoshop too. If doing 3D, Cinema4D is great too.

 

Somehow coreldraw has always worked for me. I find it simpler to use for logo designing and since its a vector software you can scale it to any size that you want. Later you can open it in photoshop if you want to add more effects.

 

My best logo designing software are Photoshop macromedia fireworks

 

I prefer using Xara Xtreme for vector work. It is not as expensive as Illustrator and much easier to use. Another program even less expensive and supports vector is Real Draw Pro

 

The industry standard for creating vector graphics is Adobe's Illustrator but you can also do anything with Coreldraw that you can with Illustrator and it's cheaper. If can pick up an older version on ebay cheap.

Probably Fireworks... photoshop will do the trick too.

Photoshop is nice but I don't think it's considered professional unless images are saved at around 300dpi.
