25-30 visits per day for a week.....today, nothing

I am not sure what is going on......maybe I am paranoid but today, it seems as though I've dropped off the search engine radar.......

Anybody have any idea why? I tried searching on some of my articles and keywords but its like everything is gone.

I have not changed my blog template or anything else for a long time now.

    Just wondering.....thanks

Google may be conducting a mock index update. If that is the case and it seems that their index update is satisfactory to them then you may see a drop in rankings. There are alot of variables involved in determining what may have caused your site to drop. I don't have enough info to give you an accurate assessment of the situation.

How long has your site been live? How long have you been getting the 25-30 hits? Give us a little more info and maybe we can help.

Are you still in the index? Have you just lost top positions or have you been deindexed? Search google for site:yoursite.com.

Also, how long has your site been in existence ?

My site has been active since about March of this year. I've been getting 25 hits or so for about a month now...maybe longer.

I am still listed in google....just can't find me by searching on keywords.

Marketing is a constant thing. Its just means you have to work harder. Trying finding other avenues of marketing you could exploit for your site.

Since your site is new I'd be patient and continue to get back links. If you're really worried do some research on the -950 penalty and the -30 penalty. You can see if your site has one of these penalties.

This can be many reason. It is depend on where your visitor from.
For example, if your visitor is from search engine, then you shall work out on the SERP
Besides, keep make quality content to keep your current visitor is also important

But I do not understand why articles that were being searched on a daily basis do not show up anymore....? It really does not make sense.

It happens, if you are ranking for some long tail keyword than many times you suddently vanished. Its probably google adjustment and happens all the time. You should be able to see yourself soon with similar rankings though better thing will be to get more fresh content into blog

It will bounce back... might just be a reporting delay or something.

Ok.....its been almost 3 weeks now.....and again, its like I've disappeared. I have added a couple of more articles but really have not made any other changes.

I know I need to add more original content but that does not explain how my site will show up again like it was before.

so because of a pagerank, a blog/website can just disappear for a few weeks? That seems kind of stupid for Google to do that.....

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the responses.....the "gurus" here at DP are always right......things seem to be back to normal for my site. I did just as others have mentioned....continued to post articles, backlink and comment on other sites. I'm still barely making any money, but my intial goal is to make my site better before I even worry about the money now.....I would rather this be long term that a small project.
