HostMonster is an excellent shared host. What is your site going to be about?

If your site is small i wouldn't recommend going with that host because they are over-selling big time. You would be better off going with a smaller host.

I signed up with them a couple of weeks ago.

The one thing I hate most is that domains take an age to transfer when the dns info is changed whereas it happens instantly with my other hosts.

I payed for hosting for a year after reading so many good reviews.

If you're still interested I'd be happy to transfer my hosting over at half of what it cost me.

Their page looks professional, but it can be deceiving. New people like their panel, but the pros prefer other hosting services, since they demand more.

I use Hostmonster and I'm happy with it. The Cpanel was very easy to use like sixty6 mentioned, and any problems I had were quickly solved by their support staff (except on holidays, in which case it takes a while). The uptime is almost perfect and you can host unlimited domains on it, which is great. As retroaugogo mentioned, it does take a long time to transfer domains, but I'm not sure if this is just the case with HostMonster or with every hosting company. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and ask :) It took me a long time to decide on a hosting company too..

He is asking for HostMonster reviews, not your opinion on overselling...which I've mentioned before is not necessarily a negative aspect in the hosting industry.

I understand you do not agree with overselling but some of the largest hosts in the industry are overselling web hosting successfully.

I agree, no doubt, but that usually leads to more server loads unless it's managed efficiently.

I'm using MonsterHost ever since a month ago, my first and only host actually. They got everything as far as I'm concerned. Tons of web stats info, easy to use, WYSIWYG Pro editor, FTP and all the other benefits most top webhosts offer. Really nice-looking control panel. They also don't do that stupid "WOW!" comment on their hosting features page (I really hate those).

Can't agree more, HostMonster is heavily oversold, and there are many other hosting plans that better than HostMonster. For example, HostGator, HostICan, and etc..

Find more and compare them, then you can get your best hosting plan. ;)

HostMonster is much better than Dreamhost IMO. Especially their support.

From my experience, Hostmonster and Hostgator are both good host, but I never try HostIcan :)

Ya, you are right about it.
But the difference is 1) HostMonstar offering unlimited space and bandwidth in cheap but HostGator is not offering the same.
2)HostGator giving you good quality website templates with hosted with there hosting and a site builder also and HostMonstar giving a site builder only.
But I don't know about the site builder(Hostmonstar) will better or not.

And in last according to forum's supporting to HostMonstar most.
I can tell Hostmonstar's support will be better than HostGator.
