What are you doing to increase your personal integrity?

I've decided:
- I'm not going to to sell or promote products I've never used myself, don't believe in or don't trust.
- Not going to try to sell something unless it benefits both me and the buyer
- Encourage people to succeed
- Help other people succeed so you can succeed in your own indevours.
- As a marketer, treat people the way you would want to be treated as a consumer.
- Don't be an extortionist.
- Don't lead people into thinking your more than you are.

 

Who cares about integrity when it comes to money?

 

Thats quite right but still trying never harm anyone but it may lead you towards the right path..

 

Money fluctuates up and down but if you have a good reputation people will help you out through the rough times. If you're a borderline crook people are going to try and take you down. Some of the richest people in the world are also the most trusted and respected.

 

I'm a grumpy, immoral scumbag... but I'm working on it

 

The people who'll dump and expose you as a fad. Hypocrites are looked down upon.

People are always going to suspect you as a fraud. It's up to you if your going to give them proof or the reason to believe your not all you make out to be.

The stuck up people limit themselves because their too busy focusing on themselves to make any success. I find that people who think they know everything are either very stupid or think way too much of themselves.

 

Clinton Great thoughts.
We have been honest or truthful even if it effected our income to gain a client. Look after over 15 years we still have our original client. Lots of newer ones and in fact the only ones we do not have are those that sold off or went out os businesss which happens.
We enjoy each client we have because of it.

I think your post is excellent. Now obviously not everyone is going to agree with you, but with that sort of thinking hopefully the general integrity of online marketing could start shifting.

I personally (maybe unfortunatly lol) happen to agree with Brandon the Great (to a certain extent) but one of your points hit home with me and I'm going to incorporate it into my companies thinking:

"- Help other people succeed so you can succeed in your own endeavors."

The more we all help boost each other up... the better all of our businesses get.

I understand where you're coming from man...

I used many black hat techcniques back in the day and I never felt the level of satisfaction I got from making an honest buck. I could still use these techniques today but I wish not to because making money the right way is much more rewarding in the long run...

 

Cool thoughts and ideals to go by Clinton. Karma is in play everywhere - EVEN when it comes to money and business.

I have a paid survey site and I only promote those companies that I know to be legitimate. There are many other survey site affiliate programs that pay well, but I know them to be scams so I do not promote them on that site.

Onlne as well as offline I strive to be truthful and honest (unless the law pulls me over and asks me something! just kidding)

Thanks, I great feeling to know that I was a part of change in someones thinking.

I know a lot of people agree with Brandon the Great. He is right, that is if your out to make a quick buck. However if you look around at great companies that have made a long term success you can find, more often then not, that they rest on strong morals and values.

The more trust you gain from people the more people will show their loyalty and you'll benefit as a result. Powerful marketing tools will come free such as word of mouth, return customers etc. All because you where true to your customers and to your self.

If you don't treat others how you want to be treated don't complain when someone treats you like shit. Because their only working by the same values as you, you should be flattered.

I want to thank everyone who liked my post, I'm glad I can help someone out.

I agree with that. I want to make as much money as I can, but at the same time I dont want to earn money but cheating or misleading others. There are plenty of ways to make honest money, even online.

 

Treat others as I wish to be treated, not as I am treated by others.

Leave the room when I am mad.

View everyone like friends or mom.

Clinton, what you said is true....if only it were true.

The only reason the Internet is declining in quality compared to the good ole days is because it ain't true for the majority of internet marketers out there who are out to make a fast buck it seems.

Many a time I wish it was year 2000.

 

I agree with that, but I would bet that the "majority" of those out there trying to make a fast buck will not make much if any at all
