I made a thread a few days ago but that didn't go too well. Anyways, I'm not really too sure on how to get started. If someone could get me through the first couple of steps, I'd really appreciate it. I mean like do I make a landing page first, or write articles?

First make the landing page, then write articles and point the author data to your landing page, then submit them. good luck!

So basically, make a landing page for the product. Then make a wordpress blog and write articles on the product and put the authors link pointing to the landing page. And then submit them? Is that the whole process?

How many articles should I write about for one product? How many products should I do?

    Thanks,

submit the articles to the article directories: see ezinearticles for example
one product is enough for the beginning, more articles the better

sometimes it works..sometimes it doesn't. try to get affiliates for your product... they will help you increase your sales (if you have your own product to sell)

Based on my experience writing tons of content for ClickBank affs and promoting Clickbank sites, you should focus first on the following

    1) Analyze the products/software you wish to push. Review Clickbank thoroughly.

    2) Once you've zeroed in on the category you want to push, research the keywords for that category.

    3) Review the competitiveness of the keywords. Key idea here is LESS IS MORE--ie., you don't want to start and optimize for the most competitive (but high traffic) terms--you'll get smashed. Focus on lesser traffic but less competitive terms.

    4) Buy domains based on those keyword terms

    5) Install Wordpress and install the SEO plug in and sitemap builder (do a search for these)

    6) Create a keyword logic tree and build your articles based on that--make sure you interlink and refer to internal posts

    7) Build your landing page so there's a content continuity between your page and your blog's entries/layout

    8) Submit to directories, social bookmark sites, article directories, do blog guest posts, do 3 way link exchanges (recip link exchange doesn't work as well anymore :( ), set your stuff on autoping, buy deeplinks on highly relevant blogs and sites, register at RSS directories, build tons of profiles with your link in it, join forums and promote via sigs, use answer sites, use google notes and google reader to publicize your blog, swap technorati faves, swap stumbles, join entrecard so you get card drop credits which you can then swap for links, tons more

I've done these services for clients on an offshore outsourced basis and the results really boil down to this: FOCUS. If you are focused and TIGHT regarding the niche you wish to hit and your marketing message and put your TIME (and if you have it, CAPITAL) in the service of this FOCUS, you'll do fine.

You don't need money to do the items above, if you don't have money to hire professional blog promoters, then invest your TIME. Even 2 hours per day as long as it is FOCUSED, will yield good results.

So get out there and DO IT!!!! The surest ways to lose at something are a) not to start at all or b) quit.

Wow. This is really what I needed :) Rep Added for both of you :)

When building my landing page, does it have to be as long as the pitch page on clickbank for that product?

it doesn't have to be as long.... make a review page for that product and use it as landing page...
but I repeat..my advice is to promote your own product - you will have more to earn on the long term

    hmm...

So the reader has to do this

Click on the link in the article submitted to a directory
Click on the link in the review article which is the same as submitted
Click on the buy now link on the landing page

    Is that it?

Basically yes. Pay attention to the landing page - this is the one that matters most and will convert to sales or not.

What is a keyword logic tree?
I need a landing page and a blog? Wouldn't just my regular blog or webpage suffice fi I'm not promoting a product just referring to it.

One more question. Lets say the title of the Affiliate Product is "Lose Weight" and he/she owns www.loseweight.com. These are example btw. Anyways, if I want to make a landing page for this affiliate, do I use a different name? Im a bit confused here.
