Since I was happy with the results from my 20 different products, 20 different sales pages, article just about ever day experiment. link I'm going to do one for article sites. I hate having to rely totally on ezine articles for any decent traffic. (If you're thinking about chiming in a post like, "well you can use squidoo and hubpages" please don't.) I'm going to find another article site out there that rivals EA. I'll report in with results as they start to come in. All articles submitted will be unique and target long tail keywords. We'll see what happens.
Well, all good article directories are already known... EzineArticles GoArticles Isnare Searchwarp I don't know what you are going to find
Everything sucks but ezine articles. I just can't accept the fact that it is the only one out there that can actually produce results. There must be something else out there that has something to give me lol.
The only two sites I see ranking in top 10s are EA and Buzzle, right now at least. IdeaMarketers seem to be a popular one as well.
Ideamarketers is a new one I heard of lately. I submitted an article to them this week, I'll see if it was accepted. I didn't see anything in my site stats. Edit: It wasn't a unique article. It had 9 views, 0 clicks.
An update: 15 unique articles submitted, between 5 article sites. That's three a piece lol. It'll probably take me a few weeks to finish this experiment. I think the worst that can happen is that I don't get lots of hits, just link juice from getting a very wide variety of link backs.
I'm just going to stick with ezinearticles temporarily until I can build up my own content blogs with cash I earned from pure bum marketing - I don't think anything's gonna happen to ezinearticles google slap simply because Google depends on them for trusted content,a source fill in the small long-tail keywords quickly, etc. And Ezinearticles.com constantly does things to make sure there's no spam [keyword stuffing, extremely short super crap articles, affiliate links, etc.]
I see ArticleBase.com showing up in searches and I've started using them as well as Ezine. Plus they keep great stats on your articles such as where traffic is coming from and keywords used.
Currently 75 unique articles invested into this project so far. Spread across 15 different article directories. (2 of them are niche related). Oh and too the people that thought I was wasting my time. I found a site that will rank in the top 10 for keywords and there are no editors. You just submit and it's up.
I've noticed that too - but there's two big negatives about articlebase.com - #1 they nofollow resource links. #2 their resource box is pretty hidden below all the Google ads - i doubt the CTR is very good at all.
I had great results from Searchwarp. It allows direct linking too. I got more traffic from ezine but I think more sales from Searchwarp. I submitted about ten articles to article dashboard and didn't get a single click.
Searchwarp is great as far as getting articles to show up high in the search engines but I've found that they are incredibly picky with what you can link to. They told me they don't let you link to a page that promotes an affiliate product.
Wow, the king of rejection for articles. My article one of the sites got rejected because in the resource box I did blah instead of blah lol
Yeah, that's a serious problem. You need to learn some html before submitting articles to that *expert* directory
