    Keyword research is the first thing you do when planning a website, Ann smarty(search engine watch) has prepared very good Blogs for how to do planning of Keyword research for your sites.

    Previously, she has explained the keyword research tools and ways to organize your keyword list. But where to start? How to find the correct core terms that you will then explore and expand?

    What We can do first:

    1. Make a list of most essential aspects of your business;
    2. Think what your visitors or customers would be most interested to see;
    3. Learn what your competitors use (but don’t copy their strategy - sort out only most essential and useful terms);
    4. Explore your niche essential vocabulary - check out dictionaries and glossaries.

    Read these complete useful theory in the

    Keayword research Blog of Ann Smarty.

    and here is the 5 Tools for Keyword Brainstorming

    1) http://labs.google.com/sets (will tell you what Google itself considers relevant (neighboring) terms:)

    2) http://adlab.msn.com/src/SRCResult.aspx (that “clusters search results into semantically related groups.” The tool groups the related terms in topics and subtopics. It also sorts results based on the main term different meanings.)

    3) searchradar.webaroo.com (Not only displays a keyword tag cloud but also demonstrates the usage of this keyword and its synonyms in short context. It also offers a handy FireFox and Internet Explorer extensions that display relevant topics within Google search results.)

    4) kwmap.net (is also a great fun to play with. It will show you keyword variations either in alphabetical order or on a map..)

    5) Urbandictionary.com (Urban Dictionary provides a list of related slang and urban words. (Quick tip: install Urban Dictionary FireFox search plugin to search right from your browser.), this Dictionary is very useful.

    Thanks
    John

    Thank you for your kind words, really appreciated.

    you can consider many points from this article in keyword research, like you can also add useful Plugin for The free dictionary (Thefreedictionary.com) in your Firefox Browser, it will better help you in some cases.

    The free dictionary (available with the FireFox search plugin) list a wealth of useful information for any term:

    Free Dictionary (it will also help in your keyword selection for your sites):-
    * your keyword definition(s),
    * set phrases/ idioms (use them to lighten up your writing style),
    * examples of usage,
    * words of the same root (inflected words and derivations),
    * thesaurus,
    * classic literature mentions,
    * keyword phrases,
    * related acronyms.

    Thanks for the info. My keyword research is mostly limited to the free keyword suggestion tool at wordtracker.com.
