This place is great! I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and I'm really impressed. I look forward to getting to know everyone here. -Crazy_Rob
Skill sets? Hmmm... I've been doing "webmaster-related activities" for about 7 years now. I do web design, graphics, PHP/MySQL (HACK JOBS), SEO/SEM, blah-blah-blah...
Great, since this is your introduction thread you should tell us a bit about yourself, your skills and your websites. Include your professional services that you might be able to offer to members.
This question is for the crazy guy - Rob. I signed up with overture and have a few key words. I am still in the R & D stage of getting the proper links and directing traffic to my site. I know your views on overture and google, but what is your take on Yahoo? Out of curiosity, why are you staying with overture when you aren't happy with the price and results?
Yahoo is making some progress in my referrer logs as of late. My rankings have been improving as well though...so who knows. I definitely don't optimize for Google only. As for Overture- I stay with them because I'm buying customers. With Overture I'm paying a little more but it's still a market I feel we need to be in. Although sometimes I wonder if I could just throw all of that money into Adwords. But you definitely need to see which works best for you. You're split could be the opposite of mine. I know a lot of people that say Overture is a better return for them.
