It usually takes place every three months, so I would say June or July. It doesn't really matter, since Google appears to be lowering the value of PR by giving a bunch of brand new sites PR 5. I wouldn't concern myself with PR if I were you, but that is just my opinion. I worked hard on my older websites for 3 months straight, and only one got any PR. Since that incident, I've decided I'm not going to waste time with PR anymore.
Hello all! though the SERP is much more important pr shouldn't be forgotten, as in some cases it influence a buyer, weather to buy a product or not. IMHO it is also important.
My site recently went from PR1 to PR6. It means nothing, traffic is not affected, the only thing it did do is make the noob that sits next to me at work ask me how much I would charge to do the same for his site
I agree I have a site which google recognises about 25 links for and it's a PR5, yet another which google sees 350 links is a PR3, the PR3 site gets much more traffic and appears much better in search engines.
I have the same situation. One of my sites has 700+ backlinks in Google and is a pr4 My other site has 150 backlinks in Google and it's a pr5 lol weird
Not really, the PR has nothing to do with the number of links but the PR of the pages that link to them. You could comfortably have a PR9 page with 1 link and a PR 1 page with 10,000 links. The two aren't related.
Hi, When is the next google PR update? does it happen every 3 months or every month? Thanks in advance
Every three or four months has been the pattern of late. Some weird anomalies happened about a week apart around first of April, as I remember.
The last update occured so soon because Matt Cutts asked them to update again after BigDaddy finished updating to all the datacenters. The update just ended up being a little crazy!!
