Reps

I think reps should not be hidden. I think the name of the repper should be left.

Getting negged by some one who won't leave a name is like getting punched from behind in my opinion.

 

true but then again you can guess who did that. Besides if everyone can see who -ve rep them there will always be hatred and war on Dp. Not something I wanna see..

I just got a particularly nasty rep comment, so I'd like to know who it was so I can smash their windows in.

All jokes aside I think it's quite a good idea.
There's the obvious worry that it will be used for revenge purposes, but on the other hand it will also be much easier to detect patterns of rep abuse, which can then be reported and dealt with.
Contrary to popular belief, I think most people will be able to take a negative on the chin if they've posted a controversial statement. Other forums I'm involved with do have the repper's details visible and do not have huge rep battles as a result.

 

I'm sure I added this to Focused.org a while back now. We've had no problems so far.

 

see aarons smiley He charges people $1 so that you can ask him who -ve repped you.. I heard this news in the underground world. Apparently almost all mods do that except CR.. He doesn't want money thats why he has the C..

Well I personally see reputation as an indicator of respect around the forum. I think it should be seen by all, and this way you can see who is saying "thanks" for your inputs etc.
