    Hello,

I just finished building my new website: TasteDrop.com. I'm looking for beta testers & some feedback to make this site #1 for domain lists & drop catching, all at the same location.

I'm looking to add the final touches over the weekend & populate the database with the Alexa, PageRank & Name Server fields.

Tastedrop.com provides daily updated lists of domain activity for:

    Afternic (Tucows Drops)
    SnapNames
    GoDaddy
    Pool
    NameJet

Easily track which domains are dropping, and which received a bid at the auction house. If a domain gets a bid, it will not drop & you'll need to counter bid to win the name.

Tastedrop.com offers the following quick searches:

LL, NN, CC, LLL, L-L-L, CCC, NNN, LLLL, NNNN, VCVC, CVCV, CVVC, NNNNN, LLLL & English Dictionary for all the above lists. Now you can easily find valuable domains all in one place! Sort by All, or by godaddy, snapnames, etc.

Now that you have all your domain lists covered, you should take advantage of Tastedrop.com's drop catching engine.

TasteDrop.com Takes your domain requests & multiplies it by up to 5 different domain registrar API's. This means - instead of having a single chance to acquire a domain, now you have five chances to catch the domain you want.

    For example:

If I want the domain: TasteDrops.com - then I can simultaneously send out a request to regsiter the domain at the same time to these domain registrars:

    1.) Dynadot
    2.) Moniker
    3.) ENOM
    4.) Expron
    5.) OnlineNic

So now you have a much better chance at getting the domain by hammering the above API's to secure the name for you. Furthermore, the scripts hammer away on your behalf to catch the dropping domains for you. You can schedule the drop catcher to work right away, or at any set time & date. You can set the duration too - ie.. a start & stop time.

100% Unlimited Free Domain Tasting If you use the Expron API. Return as many domains as you'd like after four days of purchasing the domain. No guilt & no red tape, simply put, we'll take your tasted domain & return every penny back to you if you wish to return any domain for any reason.

If you'd like to keep a domain, the Expron API is around $8.50 per .com, .net domain.

Many more updates & features to be added to tastedrop.com soon. Feel free to look around the site & provide some direction. You can PM me if you'd liek a free limited time account. TasteDrop.com will be going up as a public website that's membership based. So make sure to get your free account today!

    domnom,

In tastedrop.com, you can select this API & it interacts with all 5 registrars at the same time. So, let's say you can't afford the $500 bulk account (API Enabled Acct) at Dynadot, if you select the Expron API, we will use our API codes. If the domain is captured for you, we will charge you the same Dynadot fee & push it to your account for free.

The same goes for Moniker, Enom & OnlineNic.

Furthermore, the Expron API is also experimenting with many other registrars. For instance, we are working with registrars from all over the world & securing deals with the ones that provide the fastest API's at the registry level.

The Expron API is also what you must choose to taste domains for free. If you pick the Moniker API, Moniker.com charges a fee of $0.25 for tasting domains. Dynadot is free & so is OnlineNic. I'm not sure about Enom.

After these first beta tests, I will need to code up some pages & I'm making tutorials to try to explain as best as I can what to pick & select - also what each API & button does.

The Expron API also interacts with: tastedrops.com to control your free domain tasting. You will be able to purchase or delete any domains at tastedrops.com.

I apologize the site is not very clear, looking to improve & make it easy to use.

    Thanks for the great feedback!

    domnom,

We're looking at a bit of time before ICANN applies the $0.20 fee to tasted domains.

Currently, Registrars like: Dynadot, Moniker, OnlineNic & others aren't applying or talking much about the charge. They are also not publicly announcing any tasting fees on their sites yet (that i'm aware of). I was told it can easily take approx 2 years for this change to take effect *after ICANN announces something concrete & enforces the charge.

On the bright side - if ICANN enforces the fees, the big domain tasters like: SnapNames, ENOM, POOL & NetSol will be forced to pay the fees & they will not do as much tasting as they are now. Which means there will be more valuable domains that us domainers will be able to acquire easily - since the tasters & kiting will no longer be taking place.

In my opinion, it's a win - win situation. Taste domains now, while you still can for free & if ICANN decides to charge the $0.20 per tasted domain, then you can expect valuable domains to be easier to acquire.

    Hello Everyone,

There's been a flow of PM's & emails coming in about tastedrop.com & I'd like to clarify things a little bit so that everyone understands what registrar API's are, what they do & their role in the domain lists found at tastedrop.com.

Tastedrop is a site for catching premium & 2nd tier .com & .net domains - feel free to catch junk domains or anything you want. You can even add your own custom lists. However If you know about drop catching by hand, you know it's all about speed. Since TasteDrop.com automates this for you, you can schedule your drop catching & sleep or do other things.

You'll need to do some research on your own viewing whois changes, who got what domain after the drops & etc. However, I'll share this secret with you:

If you go to tastedrop.com & click the "SNAPNAMES" button at the top & then do a search for: LLLL.COM's, LLLL.NET's or CCC.NET's. Any domain that has a price of $99 or $9, basically ending in "$x9" hasn't received any bids & will be released to anyone who registers it the next day.

So let's say you look at today's date of LLLL.NET's & some have a price ending in $9, chances are they didn't get a bid & Snapnames will be dropping the domain at 4am Tastedrop.com time the next day (1 day after what's posted on tastedrop.com).

So what you can do is login to your tastedrop.com account before 4am, set these domains in your list of domains to acquire & set the start time to 4:00am (tastedrop server time), Stop time 4:15 or 4:15am - then the scripts will hit the API's to acquire the domains you have in your list after Snapnames releases them at 4:00am.

All the above API scripts will safely (without banning) send multiple requests to acquire the domains in your list at theat time. If successful, the domains will appear in your Dynadot, ENOM or Moniker, OnlineNic Or Expron accounts where you'll need to have prefunded your accounts & setup and API key as per the site's policy or TOS. Same applies to tasting.

The Expron API is attempting to take the confusion out of tasting by allowing full unlimited tasting & only asking that you pay for domains you wish to keep after 4 days. Otherwise, they will be automatically deleted for you. This is still in the works & all domain activity will be handled by the domain: tastedrops.com which is seperate of tastedrop.com (but both owned by us).

I hope this clears up some confusion.

I like it, but is $8.50 per domain only charged when a domain is caught or is that regardless?

The $8.50 price is only for domains that were caught. If a domain is not caught, no payment or prepayment is needed. Example, you can chase 100 domains & only fund $50. Your balance will be lowered $8.50 for each domain that is successfully acquired for you.

The $.20 tasting fee is in place & applies to our service also. However, we are looking to set something up as follows:

1.) You will not be charged the AGP fee of $.20 if you keep more than 10% of the domains you've acquired.
2.) If you delete 90% or more of the domains acquired for you, you will be charged the $.20 fee for each deleted domain.

Again, the tasting is unlimited & although there is the $.20 fee, there's actually better drops available now so it's an equal exchange IMHO.

There have been many success stories recently with the tasting fees in place. Users are scooping up valuable short & dictionary domains with their TasteDrop drop catchers.
