They're equal. They're both making the same amount of money, reinvestment doesn't really effect success, they could make bad reinvestment decisions. They could also be like me and have very limited reinvestment opportunities.

They are equal for now, yes. But once the investments start paying out, the investor will be ahead.

    Agreed.

You could re-invest - even putting it in a term deposit at the bank and earning some measly interest.

You'll still come out ahead ;)

Only if the reinvestments pay out - otherwise the person who saved his money and didn't reinvest is more successful, for this reason, I don't think you could base financial success on reinvestment... only on how much money they're actually making.

If someone is willing to take investment risks, he will eventually come out ahead. Someone playing it safe will never get the chance to make more than they are making currently.

Well, a lot of people that did it pre-18 did it with parental help. I still wouldn't deal with someone under 18, though.

I would have to disagree as my market for instance, I only get the chance to reinvest a few times a year, and at most it's a few thousand dollars, but a conservative return would be 10x to 30x what I've put in, so my reinvestment figure is very low indeed, but it doesn't mean I'm not trying to take risks, just about investing wisely as I've had my fair share of shitty reinvestments.

Why would you let some terms of service stop you? I've used Paypal since I was 13, noone cared and noone stopped me because I wasn't a dick about it.

Who cares? Adsense doesn't - you make them money. Paypal doesnt - you make them money.

Sounds like someone is a bit bitter that they didn't start making money online earlier...I'm only 16 and I think the small minority of young entrepreneurs should be recognized because they have managed to start making just as much money online as older people do...which means the young ones will be more successful in the future because of their experience. :)

That being said age does not matter, although it is nice to know if you are talking to people. ;)

Not necessarily. What has been done can be undone just as easily. And how do you define "success"?

And "experience" isn't really counted - you either freelance, or you go the career way. I got turned down for so many jobs because I have no "real experience", even though I could rip their best coders work to shreds. Freelancing is put down as "being a bum too lazy to get a real job" it's insane.

There are plenty of even billionaires who have gone bust. Seems as you get more+more money, you become more paranoid to lose it. So saying starting off young = more monetary success in the future isn't necessarily true.

Young people (below the age of 21) have an vested interest in the statement "age doesnt matter". This also goes for people above the age of 40. Everyone in between has a more objective viewpoint.

I don't think age matters, how ever many people are a bit skeptic about doing business with a 15 year old.

No it's not. Age legally does matter, you'll know it on the day you'll face it, just a matter of time.
It isn't always about success, watch the other side of the coin.

It doesn't make much difference; people will take you seriously if you are. Don't use LOL and that kind of incompetent/13yearoldlooking stuff in your mails/posts. Start sentences with a capital and end with a . instead of WRITING RaNDom CaPS. The reason why age matters because most 'young' people come across like complete morons. And people generally don't want to deal with morons.
