I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Win7. I don't think MS has ever hit a release date this far out. My complaint is: where is the fast new file system that Vista was supposed to bring? When we got close to Vista's releasr MS told us the file system would be another year. It is now 1.5 years later and there's no mention of it. /*tom*/

the leaked copies! are not fake at all!! the point is : They are not even released for BETA testing yet!!!!! this copy will expire within 1 month... so bios changes are needed to keep it running!
Does anyone know why it's called Windows 7 instead of something else, I don't think Microsoft is running out of people who can think of a name for their OS?
No matter how you put it a lot of people will be skipping Vista. That is not good for Microsoft since they invested Billions of dollars on Vista.
I have been running Vista for well over one year, I am online a good percentage of the day. I run many many programs, such as Adobe Products (which are supposedly a heavy usage hog) and not one problem EVER. Am I the only one who has had 0 complaints with Vista? I'm not a n00b to computers and I am sure I run mine into the ground each and every day... so what's so special about my computer?
No end of next year and Windows 7 is just Vista sp2 I think Vista was great it changed how the Windows OS looked and if you didnt have a POS computer it ran great. I paid $800 for this laptop and it runs great.
We all expect the newer software generation to run better than its predecesor. Vista is acceptable, no matter what.
I believe Windows 7 will be awesome.The touchscreen function sure does look nice and for Vista Flamers.RUN THE OS ON NICE COMPUTER.I am running it on Quad Core Computer and it's perfect and trust me 70% Flamers of Vista run it on crappy computer or have not used it at all.
