600 Uniques a Month - Proxy

On my proxy Im getting roughly 600 uniques a month.

Is this good?

My earnings are almost nil, I wanted to know if more traffic was the key.

 

More traffic will always bring more revenue. 600 uniques for a month is not that good.

 

Nope, I suggest marketing more and submitting your website to hundreds of directories. And since your site is a proxy, I would try to get added on proxy.org.

Proxies are a horrible way to make money. You need thousands upon thousands of visitors a day to make significant revenue...and then you'll have high hosting costs to contend with.

Just because its easier to start a proxy site doesn't mean you should...

 

Yes, I realise that now. When I first signed up to this site the general message was that I should make a proxy. I wish I didnt now, Im just trying to earn some money to get my money back.

 

I don't necessarily agree. I also started a proxy website as and experiment. I wrote everything on my blog. The traffic was very steady at about 100-150 uniques/day. The first day was 22 uniques, day 2 was 44, day 3 was 77 and it started to grow. After a little advertising I managed to even get 400/day. Now, Like I said I get 100-150/day with absolutely no cost and earn about 1$/day (sometimes even less but sometimes more) from this website alone.

$1 per day for all that work? and you have no hosting costs whatsoever?

 

what work? All I did was upload the script, upload a theme for the script, put my adsense PUB ID submitted it to a few directories, sent the link to a few members here on DP that have since I uploaded it. And it has been about 2 weeks since I have submitted it to my last directory. I really don't think I have worked a lot...considering I get 1$/day...not much, but a steady income.

hmmm...your signature is misleading.
Your proxy is using Glype and yet claimed CGI (eventhough the spelling are wrong).

Still, you need to keep looking for a traffic to get stable income.
And yes, 600 UV is consider as high as this is NOT the season for proxy just yet.

 

600 uv is a tiny traffic. For a proxy to make real money at least you should reach 1000 UV PER DAY. That should net you at least 5~10$ each day.

My proxy gets anything from 500-1000+ uniques a day, so 600 uniques per month isn't very good.

 

I used to get 150 uniques a day. But after about a week of that it dropped down to like 30 a day.

 

Proxies are really hard to monetize. They're like gaming/entertainment sites. You'll need 10,000+ visitors before you make anything other than pocket change from them.

 

Lol, like s3lim said, you need a lot and proxies should always bring in a lot of uniques. For example my tv sitcom show alone brings in around 2-5k uniques a month.

 

600 uniques is just 20 a day.
To earn with proxies you need a mininum of 200 uniques a day.
With the traffic your getting at the moment you will be lucky to earn $1/month.

Ive been promoting it alot. Ive submitted it to around 40 different sites, Posted it on forums and have done just about every marketing technique I can think of.

 

How about revamping your proxy. I know a way to get your proxy at the top easily. Optimize it so it doesn't have the slightest chance of "proxy" on the html page including the <title> tag. Then write a article about why teens should use your proxies, its optimized as a user based website to help students get to educational websites without having to get in any trouble, make up bs. It helps you get school users and more school based kids using it. That way your site is unique, people dont go to proxy sites that has proxy on the page as they get blocked fast.
