Signature Link for Forum like DP help SEO?

I feel that people get curious about post and chose to click on your signature link more often than not... so for traffic, it's good for a few clicks here and there but SEO wise, not so much.

Yes, forum sigs can help your site especially if it is dofollow.

 

There is no point to have a link in your sig for seo here is my reasoning

1. The threads are created dynamically so every thread is a new page in google's eyes. New pages = 0pr so your link is on a 0pr page.

2. There are 20 posts per page, on average I would say people have 3 external links in their sig. This equals to an average of 60 external links per page. So not only is this a pr0 page you're then dividing that amoung 60 pages.

3. The thread topic isn't usually relevant so google wont give you much weight anyways.

When you put all of those together you might see 1/1000 of what you would see by just buying a link on a pr4 site.

I don't like to do it because all someone has to do is just google your domain name and they will be able to track you all over the forum

 

It helps for sure in ranking better and for direct traffic......

 

The SEO value is minimal, if anything it might drive some traffic.

Some forums forbid bots from coming in so your links on those forums are basically void.

As DP is DoFollow Forum, so the one way dofollow link surely help.

 

Web pages being dynamically created have "zero" effect on SEO, unless the variables change daily and aren't returnable when the old variables are returned to.

Agreed, the link dilution in forums can be large.

I wouldn't like my sites to be linked from DigitalPoint or from any other SEO related site. Except if my site is SEO related, maybe.

But my humble understanding is that if the forum you have a signature on is related to your site, then it's good.

I think it helps to a certain extent, But helps more in terms of advertising with the amount of traffic that the forum receives.

 

It helps and this is because it increases your backlinks, maybe it does not have that great value but still it is worth something and something worth something can profit somewhere to your site..

 

i guess it get traffic, helps improve search engine rankin by gettin backlinks and helpin pages get indexed..

 

There is a rule of thumb that the easier it is to get a link, the less value it has.
This usually holds true.
But it doesn't explain that many of my best links were from relatively simple events when I either got extremely clever or extremely lucky, mostly the latter.

Do you think links, from a site like this, might make your site "suspect" in the eyes of google. Links from here do look like lots of low quality incoming links. If I were google, I would be more careful of sites receiving such links.

yes they help a lot if and only if the forums are really well ranked as DP is......
