hi BUDDY it doesn't make much difference its only for beauty purpose :)
Actually its used to justify and notify specially so that it doesn't look ugly when used with | clicks would come more for it coz it looks pretty easy to see separate keywords

Not sure it matters, but '|' in programming languages means 'or' .. Probably just a bit of trivia more than anything usable.

So you guys are saying it does NOT make a different using a comma or the "|" in the title? Zero SEO impact?

Actually it is best to use | to titles to separate keywords.
Comparing the two "-----<<<< www.yoursite.com >>>>-----" and Free SEO Guide | Free Online Guide to SEO
the second one is the best choice. The first one is a sample of a poor title. Why do you have to use comma and colons, if | is the best choice. In fact, it adds more beauty to the title. :p

    | - _
They're all ignored by search engines for queries.

It's better to write "sitename | postname", and no .com

    " | " " - " "," " : " they are all used as seperators in the Title of a webpage.

But NOT "_" [ underscore ] It is treated as a character by the search engines

    TRY THIS

Search by the following three terms in GOOGLE or any other search engine : -

    1.Search Engine
    2.Search-Engine
    3.Search_Engine

    And see the difference

If you are talking about SEO point of view then here is nothing do discuss because nothing different between( | , - ) in search engine eyes, anyway as you guys know that according to search engine rules we should have 65 characters title so if we are using this
Seo Expert | Seo Firm | Seo Company | Seo in UK | SEO Services in UK then your characters are 71 if you are using , like this
Seo Expert, Seo Firm, Seo Company, Seo in UK, SEO Services in UK the your characters are 64

    This is only the different

Its very simple and basic if u guys can really understand

    | Yes it makes difference to a certain extent but y?

    1) Firstly think about Users and there search behavior
    2) U ppl might have seen many using the old , type so here by applying | it basically separates the characters and in return more hits and clicks would be coming
    3) So its about Clicks as u can see 10 results coming in SEARCH ENGINES and when u make something beautiful definitely u gona get clicks by which u can make it to top for example for key "SEO"

Title : "SEO : Search Engine Optimization | USA SEO Services"

This is how i would go as it would look clean and u would be expecting more clicks from this as its easy to spot the keywords
So whenever u guys work on any special char do make that u get it beautifully done in a way inviting users to click on ur keys :)

    Thanx,,,,,,,,,

    Google lover
