hello guys, I want to ask about domain auction

In what time or what situation that certain domain will get auction ? is it in grace period or redemption period or else after domain expired...can the domain get auction before expired ?

because sometimes I get confused with these periods. then, if the transaction is successful so the money from domain auction belongs to the registrar which register the domain ?

Thanks before for the explanation :D

    I my understanding:
Domains on auction at Pool and Snapname are Expired domains
Domains on auction at Namejet and TDNAM are names in redemption period
