I got my IFCS code from my cheque book.so when i searched it in the excel report that RBI provides I did not find any results. I use State Bank of India. Tell me what should i do?should i continue the transfer? Pl. help ASAP. Thank you.
U should not worry about it,just contact your bank,if its right IFSC code,then i don't see any problem with RBI too.
It may be due to not updates list of RBI or change in your IFSC Code. If it is on your cheque book then you not need to worry about it.
I have also bank account with SBI but unfortunately i can't find any IFSC code on my cheque book Are you sure you are looking for proper IFSC code there ? Just confirm it with your bank's branch first. DON.
For SBI it will be a string of alphabets and numbers like : SBIN0001419 (maybe is very small print on your cheque leaf...look again) You can also try looking it up here: http://banklocations.in/bank_specific_cities.jsp?bank_main_id=4
Maybe due to old cheque book i have (not using SBI account since long time). Will request for new cheque book and see there what you said. Thanks. DON.
AFAIK , more than 43K Bank branches are participating in the NEFT Transfers so, manish you need not to worry. If you are really worried then try to send a small amount of Rs 100 from another bank account to your SBI one, if it reaches your account by evening that day , initiate transfer from Paypal otherwise talk to Bank.
Ulhasnagar branch.It is a city near mumbai. It is on the bank cheque on the right. My bank said that I would easily get it from the internet. it is exactly in the pattern you have mentioned starting with SBIN then some numbers. It is a new account and a brand new cheque book so i think it wud work.I will try to transfer now and let you guys now. Thanx everyone.i have repped everyone.
