Seriously, there's like 4 of them on each page of this section. And there's also way too many people advertising view boosting, with 1 asshole in particular undercutting everyone else ruining it for everyone. Can't we all just get along? Fellow view boosters...we should all team up, make a video for the DP forums, and boost it to the millions in a day. We can then list our screennames in the credits of the video and receive mad props from everyone here for kicking Youtube's ass with our video. How about it? I'm willing to make the video myself if you guys can brainstorm with me good ideas to advertise DP.
I was one of the originals if not the first to offer the service, then after a few sales - members started to copy, a few even purchased views and tried to copy what I had been doing, I started when embeds were counting and this was awesome. I have a large client base and tried to provide my service legitimately and without the use of bots - which can be very expensive. Whilst daily there were competitors offering the same service for a cheap price - which I can't compete with, I dropped my prices to compete and started to make a loss. So now I am selling my methods instead .... What pissed me off was the bot competition and then the sellers who still provide embed plays, many members don't realize that embeds are now useless - OK they boost view count but do not add to honors - this is where members get lost in translation - they do not comprehend the honors or the juice of the honors. Then of course there are the youtube partners who need quality views to their videos, they have a CPM contract with Youtube and do not realize that they jeopardize their account and money earnt by using bots or other dodgy methods.
I don't think its a good idea to advertise your services via youtube. I'm glad they are on the DL. keep it that way.
Why does everyone think that the videos are of services ? I personally don't like them and I wouldn't even suggest to upload a service related video, or even a tutorial type spam video .... would you search Youtube to watch these videos ? Do you get pissed off when all you find are promotional and advert' like videos all over Youtube ? So do the Youtube community and daily users, they don't give a rats ass about the new paid to click website or your new myspace portal .... I suggest funny videos, real videos, producer videos, something that people want to watch and not some lame affiliate video advertising ring tones .... or the latest blog you made.
Undercutting lol. Theres nothing wrong with selling a service low. If you can't beat his price, Either get out or offer a better service.
i always say if the video and good quality people will link to it. there is no reason to pay people to watch your video. do you think the simpsons have been on the air for 20 years because they pay people to watch it? NO!. its funny and people enjoy that .
Yup, the best videos that I've been advertising so far are "real videos" that aren't trying to plug a website...the ones that are already in the 5 digit views and don't necessarily "need" view boosting to gain an audience. People know when they're being pitched a product through a service, it's so blatant...a quality video has some entertaining value that makes itself worth watching. If I had permission from my customers to post their videos here as examples, I would. But let's just say that I actually end up watching their videos myself out of general interest.
