My site is relatively new … anyway my hits were going up and up …. I was doing a lot of self promotion … and it was all to very targeted market .. hence my bounce rate of 1.7% (extremely low)

My hits at one stage even hit 500 per day for a couple days …. It was all looking great, however, it has now stalled. For the past week and a half, it dropped to about 100 hits a day, and has stayed at that.

I have continued self promotion, maybe not as much as I was at the start, but none the less have kept doing it every couple days

I really cant understand why it dropped and now has stalled for??

Could someone give me some tips??

In addition if I haven’t provided enough info, let me know and ill post it up

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Try focusing on increasing your SERPs. That will bring you consistent traffic. You could try using dofollow blog commenting to build some links.

I'm not sure if a high percentage of your traffic came from Google, but it seems like most sites often get a boost in the beginning for a couple of weeks and then it's cut off. My site faced a similar drop after 3 weeks of referrals and now I'm basically working on my content to get the site back up to the boosted levels.

Try finding more people online that are interested in the things you have to offer on your website.

    Just a suggestion..

Just keep adding backlinks to your site. Continue to do this daily and your search engine results will improve.
