Now Yahoo and Google will work together in respect to display ads and search results. Its a great news because Yahoo is competitor of Google in online ads market. Some days ago, Microsoft was trying to buy Yahoo to become the competitor of Google.

Yeap this time Microsoft lost and not only that Yahoo lost, Google emerged as the sole victor. Sad news. It means less competition and that the Internet Adverts industry is tending towards being a monopoly.

Yes, its great that theres no viable alternative to Google adsense for publishers. Its great that Google can decided how much to pay webmasters, taking the largest chunk for themselves because their is no competition. Its absolutely fantastic that Google will pay us 0.01 cent a click if it chooses because there is no comptetion. When they do, we should all celebrate.

When will people realise that Google having so much market share is exactly the same as Microsoft in the past having so much market share??

Google is getting more and more like what Microsoft has been. One is in the desktop arena and the other in the Internet advertising arena, hope that do no evil is true.

I don't think it's "great".. If microsoft would buy yahoo it would be a very good competitor to google and as you don't know competition would be very good to us. Maybe google would stop to threat small publishers like rubbish.

There are litterally thousands of anvertising providers you can chose. If you chose google then its because they provide the best service, Not because its a monopoly.

Yeah, that's really great news. Now Google can take even more of my PPC budget and flush it down the toilet.

    Exactly!

I do not see any "good news" either. It would not have been good news if MS have bought yahoo as well... :(

It's a great move for Google, but it's bad for everyone else. Less competition = more profit for Google and less profit for you.

We can only hope Microsoft starts up their own ad program for everyone to join.

Can you explain how exactly this good news is? This must be one of the saddest news for internet I've heard in a long time. Google sticks their fingers into everything and it's not good to have someone this dominant in something this important. Plus we all know how in love Google is with tracking everybody's activities on line down. They are the largest database of people's behaviors in the world, it makes me uneasy to know that their reach furthered. Very sad day for internet :(
