Do you think Yahoo is worth more than 44 Billion Dollars?

I personally believe its worth about 100 Billion Dollars. While Yahoo may be second to Google and has about 25% of the search market, I think it still has the potential to grow into a bigger company. Maybe it can even regain its former position as the top search engine on the internet with the right marketing strategy.

But if i had the money would i buy it? Hell ya!

Buy it and then make a deal with google to place google ads, and keep 75% of the revenue, that no competition just bling, bling and irritating the shit out of Microsoft!

Yahoo is not a dead company yet. Maybe it can have still some original idea. Even his search engine I think it is worth $ 5 bilions alone.

 

I don't think so. They might be worth 44 billion to Microsoft because they can definitely integrate them into their business effectively, but to someone with only 44 billion dollars and no established business, I don't think they're worth the money.

 

Maybe when their stock hits bottom very soon it will be worth nothing. Yahoo is going down. The sore looser at the top should have sold to Microsoft while he had the chance.

 

Although yahoo doesn't hold the search numbers like google, keep in mind it's still number 1 on the internet. Most people use google for searching and yahoo for everything else. Just because they have a search feature people like to compare them to google but they are 2 completely different sites. I don't think it's worth 44 billion though. I read somewhere that it only makes around 5 billion a year which would take almost 9 years to turn a profit.

yahoo has already gone down, Google ads will now get space inside yahoo effectivly killing there ad business and extending googles.

Yahoo makes 5 Billion Dollars a year! I didn't know that one. If I'm correct many internet companies sell for about 40 times what they make in a single year. This means that Yahoo is worth about 150-200 Billion Dollars!

 

I think yhoo is worth $61.8 Billion. msft knows it but who wants to pay market price?! 0_o

 

You have your math wrong my friend. They have operational cost and overhead so its not 5 billion profit. After all would you pay for a company that has no profit 40X its revenue? Its earnings you should look at.

 

Well, Photobucket.com sold for about $250 million dollars and they make about 10 million a year in "gross" earnings.

 

If you fired all the employees and hire Google to run it then it would be worth that much money.

Jokes aside Yahoo is a great Company.
It is just a different company than Google, and it is not fair to compare the two...
