I was wondering if I could get fellow forum members to post how they get eyeballs to their monetization techniques (be it ads, affiliate links, or customers paying for services). I realize this is very wide, considering some people may use digital point to pay them for SEO services without having a website of their own. For the sake of simplicity I'm going to group all of SEO into one bucket with links generating significant traffic as another source (as vs. links mainly to build SE rankings). All successful businesses (including consultants) need customers (aka visitors) to be profitable. How do you get them?
Visitors to my personal adsense websites come from organic SEO. Visitors to my landing pages / CPA Offers come from PPC. Visitors to my offers in my Network come from our affiliates.
Article marketing has worked pretty decently for me, though ezinearticles. I had about 16 350-400 word articles published and I got around 800 click thrus through the site, and who knows how many from republishers.
Is this 800 clicks per article or total? I'm also curious how you went about getting your articles into the e-zines. I suspect that you also had plenty of time go into marketing the use of your articles.
Linkbait has always worked really well for me, but I like to advertise a bit too. I sometimes write articles promoting my site but that hasn't worked as well for me.
