Have you started developing the site and writing the content yet?

I hate to say this, but your code and content are going to need to be rewritten from the ground up if you want to ensure that you have a successful Web site that not only ranks well in the search engines but also brings in paying customers and clients. You should also look into altering the structure of the site's internal organization as well.

For starters, I'd probably create a dedicated page for each service you provide, and then write some compelling content that not only describes the service, what it can do for the customer (how it can meet their needs), but also sell itself to the prospect as well. Your about page needs to tell the reader what you can do for them, rather than stating the obvious, such as "we are dedicated to providing the best service possible" - uhm, WHO ISN'T? What has the company done for prior cleints? What can they do for future ones? What experience and specialized skills do the staff possess that can meet your clients' needs?

Think about that, and then when you rewrite the content, do not write for the search engines unless you want your SEO strategy to /FAIL/. Make sure you use your headings and other HTML elements properly - structure the page with your markup, use your stylesheet to present the appearance, formatting and layout, and keep your scripts to external files.

I actually wrote a couple posts about how I write HTML for the search engines - why don't you check it out? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=8141503#post8141503

It would be if the site was geared towards social networking - but it's not. It's a company Web site offering a professional service. Social bookmarking and networking in this case would be like having a plumber work on a car's transmission.

Hey Dan, So how would you get links work in terms of SEO for these corporate/ companies websites which provides some sort of services. I know social media would fail. Can get a start with some good articles.

But need to hear from you buddy.

Long time haven't seen you on AIM.

AOL decided that they don't want AIM or ICQ to work with third parties anymore, meaning I can't connect via Trillian. They're both throwing Error Code 10054 again.

As for link building, aside from the directories (to help get the link building process started), I'd look at local sites - especially the company's clients. Not only are the links qualified (the target market), but the recommendations of the client can help sway the fence-sitting prospect as well. Bear in mind though, that's just the beginning. :)

You can use gmail and gtalk to connect to AIM :)

You should be able to sponsor some local events and get a sponsor link !!
