New Ringtone Changes

Lately there has been alot of changes with Azoogles ringtone providers. Thumbplay apparently doesn't allow you to BID on any keywords containing the word free, Dada recently changed their policy so you can't use complimentary or bonus on your landing page. Is it still worth it to stick with Azoogle for ringtones?

I wouldn't say that it is Azoogles fault for these new restictions. The advertiser states these stipulations. When it comes to an affiliate program, reliability is my determining factor. I want to know that my stats are correct and that I am going to get paid.

I agree. I'm a member of many other CPA networks, but I don't know if I would trust them with the amount of advertising I would do. I know Azoogle will always send my direct deposit on time.

Azoogle also has higher ringtone payouts than any other network out there. I challenge you to prove me wrong :)

There's a give and take relationship there - You can get higher payouts but follow tighter rules or lower payouts and fewer rules

Sir... I challenge you on that. CPA Empire pays me $1 more per lead for the ringtone leads I send them... over Azoogle. ;)

    For what, Flycell? lol

I'm with CPA Empire too, and I split-tested their ringtone offers a few weeks ago. Ringtones.net converted extremely well, but the payout is so low and they can't bump it high enough to compete with Azoogle. They can give you a good payout on Flycell, sure (and so can Azoogle), but Flycell has horrible conversions. My bumped payout on Flycell at CPAE is $3 higher than what I get for Dadamobile at Azoogle...and Flycell still gave me a lower epc

I'm not sure what you're looking at, but CPAE's ringtone payouts are very low

Do any other affiliate networks run Dada or Thumbplay offers? Thumbplay has always worked well for me, but recently that offer on Azoogle has been terrible for me. PrimaryAds used to have one, but it stopped running about a month ago. I'd be willing to sign up under someone's referral link if they provide me with this info...

Yeah, the higher payout is for Flycell. For me Flycell, Blinko, and Rockin' Ringer had approx. the same conversion rates (no big enough difference to say that either one of the 3, in my opinion, are the top ringtones merchant).

My conversions across the board on all 3 of these offers have been in the 1:9 range to 1:11 range.

Azoogle dropped the lead price for Flycell a couple days ago... while CPA E kept the same lead price for Flycell. So now my highest paying offer at Azoogle is Blinko... and my highest at CPA E is Flycell (which is $1 more than Azoog).

Yeah, the Ringtones.net (CPA E) is a pretty weak payout ($10.50), but has pretty decent conversion rates (1:20) in my 'Other Carriers' button...

Are you using Azoogle's TickTock Tones Optimizer for your 'Other Carriers Button'?

You just have to switch back and forth between some of the networks/offers. When 1 ringtone offer starts scrubbing/shaving your leads... switch to another one... and then switch back to the original one if that network/offer starts shaving. :)

But you don't need to worry... from your past posts, you just do organic search traffic, so either way, you're making money

Did you stop and ask yourself why the advertisers made those changes....

Free bonus complimentary all imply no cost and being as ringtones have a cost bidding on these terms is a waste for the advertiser but more importantly it's a waste for you to bid on...................

    :D

Besides that bidding on 'free' is one huge mistake most affiliate marketers can make.....

I've been promoting ringtones for a while now and I know what works for me. Just because others fail doesn't mean it's a waste of time.

That is true I am sure ....however there will always be exceptions to the rule.

For most people who would bid on keywords, free, is not one to play with it can be very expensive to use in campaigns

...considering marketers are trying to sell something, then using the word 'free' would not be considered finding your target market... and presenting something as free, when it has a cost, is more apt to alienate the consumer as opposed to having them as a possible sale in the future.

Sorry, just want to get this clear. Are the new ringtone changes only in effect for Azoogle? If so I guess we can expect other networks to follow suit soon.

the ringtone changes happened coz the carriers like AT&T got themselves a class action lawsuit which they had to settle. Remember the payment is processed at the carrier level. That said, the carrier's in turn put the screws on the likes of Flycell's who in turn pressured the networks. Try getting an add campaign on G for the keyterm Ringtone or hell even facebook for that matter ....

its not AZG its the AT&Ts
