    Hello,

Will you ever need the thousands of GBs that they are promised?
    Sure NO.
So,there isnt any reason to go for an overselling company.

    Regards

There is NOTHING wrong with Host Gator. Brent runs a very great company. Sure, they oversell. But I guarantee that you can use every bit of the storage and bandwidth they offer.

Host Gator is decent for starting out, but be advised that they do not guarantee every single amount of space the provide.

haven't been hosted on HG but reviews were good.
am not sure only to those who REALLY have used their entire
    allocated space/BW.
but nthen again, their plans come with free WHMCS if i am not mistaken
and thousands of premium templates :)

Don't see how you can say that...if you think about it, you could be overselling then as well with your site and such offers you might have...so unless your going to attack a company, you might want to know who are attacking before thinking about doing it doing it.

You can ask many other hosting companies on the forum who know that hostgator is a well known company and that they are very good at their services.

currently have 1 domain hosted with them and its been fine, no downtime, no problems...but i personally like my partners hosting company better though.

so all in all, i would say that you can try them out, if its your first account then you can get a refund up within 45 days after you have started your account. not a whole lot of companies do that...

Hostgator good for small websites but bad for big sites..when ur site will start getting traffic they will simply kick u ..with a reason: over use of CPU...Lol. Try to find a good host that not tell such big space and bandwith. Do u think anybody on earth can give u such thing in that price..Think practical.

Hostgator is a respectable company, but like any host you go over the cpu usage you will be suspended.. Every host does this, to ensure good running servers for all..

This depends on what you are creating a website for...

Certain programs that you may use can raise the cpu, like for instance if a forum sends a mass email to every member, it would bring the cpu up depending upon the number of members they are sending it to and long it takes for it to process each request.
