How to target keywords

    I want to know more bout How to target keywords to my site, to bring the keyword in top 10- top 20 results

    First, the keyword itself must be totally relevant on your site. You can use some of the best keyword research tool and look for the number of searches a month. Look for a keyword that has a huge of searches a month or day. I suggest you to come up with a keyword that has tons of searches yet less competitors.

    Use your targeted keyword as your anchor text! Place a links on blogs, forums, directories, etc. When you are optimizing a site, you are optimizing for your targeted search term. This means creating a list of specific words and/or phrases which you know people are searching for, and making sure that when these keywords are searched for your site will be in the result pages.

    Content and links. Get the words in your content. Especially; Page Title, Description, H1 tags, the page text. Then get links back to the page with the keywords. If your site has many sub topic pages on the same theme then your home page will rank even higher for the general theme. So adding a lot of pages around a theme helps too.

    after keyword research just do OnPage SEO, then start building backlinks with targeted keywords.

    First of all , find keywords for which you want to promote your site using keyword suggestion tool according to monthly search volume and competition then do on page optimization and off page optimization for getting backlinks .The better your research, the more improved your website's ranking. The main aim of search engines is to satisfy Internet users by providing them the exact information that they were looking for. They want content that is not only relevant.The website has to be continuously updated to maintain that high position with the search engines.

    1. Research keywords
    2. Create content based around these keywords - ideally one or more page per keyword
    3. Name the pages (titles) after your keywords
    4. Use keywords in h1, h2 and use bold/strong/underline tags on them as well.
    5. Build internal links (relate pages based on content)
    6. Build backlinks on keywords

    Just remember to make links and content good and relevant for your users <- this is the hard part.

    consider doing SEO keeping in mind the keywords. start doing submissions for your site with your main keyword. write articles on your targetted key phrase and submit it to relevant article directories. post your site in classifieds as well. it will help you rank better and fast also

    Avoid using very competitive keywords, use keyword phrases based on the search terms, consider using good keywords finders tools and research on latest trends like using google trends.

    - understand first your niche, know the possible KW that user may search.
    - Know what KW of the top site ,same as your niche, uses.
    - base on your research and analysis use KW analysis tool to determine which KW are the best for you.
    - and then optimize it, using the on and off page factor.

    first understand your business i mean wht are you trying to offer through your site.. Once that is clear you decide the medium i mean keyphrases that people will type to find wht u r offering on the net.,.n then follow as already iterated above by other members

    While writing press release , article use the top keywords so that your searchability for that keywords must increase. While doing submissions, submit in the proper categories.
