    URL: http://www.mydrinkrecipes.com

    Description:
The site is a collection of drink recipes, roughly 10,000 of them. The way we setup the interface was to organize it by name and by ingredients. You can quickly browse through the pages to find a drink by what you have available to you. It’s a unique site; we keep it clean by not serving too many ads and staying clear from pop-ups. There is a built in “tell-a-friend”. All the recipes are tagged by ingredients, so this does increase the browsing done by users. Search-engine friendly urls. Clean, simple and easy to use!

    Adsense Proof

    Why the drop in revenue?
The months of Jan-April 06 are low in revenue because we took out almost all the ads to see if that would help us get into DMOZ.ORG. So far no luck. This shouldn’t affect your revenues because the month of March was our busiest month so far in terms of traffic.

    Search Engine/SEO
This site is a great opportunity for an individual/company that has experience with search engine optimization. While we were on the top 10 at Yahoo, the site was averaging $40-$70/day (the position only maintained a few days). My guess is that it needs a good amount of strong back links. Note: we have recently done some advertising, with a big name site in the market. At the new update I wouldn’t be surprised to see a PR6 or PR7.

    Yahoo: “mixed drinks” - 48
    MSN: “drink recipes” – 15
    MSN: “mixed drinks” – 6
MSN: “mixed drink recipes” – 10
Google: “drink recipes” - fluctuates between 70-210 (no sandbox, it lists at least)

    Why selling?
Too many projects on hand and the US Govt. still won’t let me clone myself.

    Maintenance and Costs:
There is no maintenance so far. The site runs by itself, gets traffic and grows. The code is in PHP, database is MySQL. We run it on a server with few other projects of ours. A decent $20/month host should cover the cost of running the site.

    Type of site:
Established and functional website with traffic

    Price (or starting bid): 3000

    Is an auction?: Yes

    Indexed pages (Google): 22,000

    Indexed pages (Yahoo): 35200

    Google page rank: 4

We didn't run ads a lot of jan, feb, march. Just cleaned up the site to get into the larger directories. It didn't work out as planned.

I've paid for it up into May. It's an $85 monthly investment. You don't need to continue it if you want to carry on a more hands on link-building approach. I spend a lot of time developing, so when I do find a complimentary site to advertise on I will go ahead an sponsor it.

Shows up a blank page, am I missing something. I might be interested to buy this to add up as a resource to my 7 websites recipe network. All it's missing is a drink recipes website :).

Site is getting most of its links from looksmartdrinks.com
Is this your site? If yes, will the link stay?

Also, $3000 for starting a bid looks bit costly to me. I am seriously interested.

He is making a fuss about a sitepoint member ( jitenagr ) that bid for BIN that had ripped him off when he sold a site on sitepoint. I believe the guy bid on my auction to fish for information. Because after the whole discovery process, where I gave him open access to all the figure, he backed out.

In that case "waraas" was on to something. Maybe the guy who bid the BIN, was up to no good. But I like to give people benefit of the doubt. Hopefully he didn't mean no harm.

This is the warning i got from a sitepoint member.

I'm late to the dance on this one. Great site, if the transaction doesn't happen I'll take it for BIN.
