    Hi,

How much do you invest per month to advertise your websites?
Also if you care to share it, what is the timeframe to see the returns on your monthly investments?

    $0.

This gives me a maximum return on investment. And I appreciate that!

I only invest on domains and host for a start and for monthly investments, it will only be more domains. I started buying some webmaster related tools to automate some tasks of mine. My investment amount really depends on how far do I want to splash in.

I am profiting right now so it will always be a return. I started out writing paid post on a Blogger blog. Thus, no capital was needed. The money was reused to build what I am currently doing now. :D

Interesting. What kind of ROI are you looking at?

I hadn't considered that option yet. I've been quite pleased with saving the money I get for building a mini-datacenter I'm planning :D. And since that costs a little over $50k for my plans, I like to keep my investments to a minimum

I save/re-invest everything I make off my site...I have a real fulltime job, so I don't have to depend on my site's income to sustain myself.

My site's small so far and thus I don't do big investments...my ROI is about 5-7 days for advertising, lol

I usually drop about 4-5k through media buying monthly through various CPA networks.

So technically its not really my site directly, but thats about what I spend
    monthly.

The return is usually high five figures to low six which I then re-invest in other income
streams and more media buying. Just keep re-investing profits.

Depends on if I have a project running or not! My average is generally 1,000-2,000 if I have new projects if not then 500-1000

We hire over 30 freelancers for content creation and so spend around $10k a month just on that.

No, just random CPA offers. Usually test around four next to each other
for a day then ramp up the winner.

Very logical and sophisticated. Care to digress as to what the CPA offers entail?

I've never dabbled in the CPA business myself ;)

CPA isn't the easiest thing to just drop into really. You really need to learn from someone who knows what the heck they are doing. You also need a little bankroll if you want to test different offers and ramp up your income quickly. There is a learning curve, but once you get good at buying advertising you will make profit on every buy.

Just like anything there is a learning curve, but learning is so very worth it :)

I mean, the offers I promote vary, I'm always testing different offers. However if I find an offer that converts around 2% I ramp up the traffic, that all comes down to testing though. Test small amounts then ramp up.

As for any particular offer, I've had tons of success with anything that has to do with debt. Could be because I promote U.S. offers and the U.S. economy is really terrible.

    I'll have to agree :).

On a different note, do you host your own websites to do such CPA projects? And if so, a domain for each offer, or one domain for a plethora of offers?

If not, I'd be interested in how you channel your traffic to a certain offer.

(Thanks for the advice thus far, repped you :D)

    Well it depends....

I usually make my own landing pages n such.

For some offers I just direct traffic to the networks pages, but
usually I'm using my own domains.

Absolutely nothing, and i try not to ever pay for advertising. I know i can do all the advertising myself and ok it may take a lot longer butby doing everything yourself and learning the methods you can re-use them all the time. They are skills you will re use over and over again.

If you want to make more than few hundred dollars you can't keep the spendings to 0$, it's impossible. Let's face it , you still need a domain name rite ... at least one ( 9$/year ), you need a decent hosting rite ? ... 100$ per year ( i'm with hostgator right now , love them because i can host as many domains i want ) so this is 110$ minimum but i think i spend more than 500$ yearly and i'm just a "baby" :) How on earth you guys can think you can succeed without investing ?
Maybe i don't know the secret and you have it, my PM is free :)

I have been investing about $2k per month. It is mostly buying small sites, paying part-time employees. No advertising.

@ultradesign: It is possible to make good money without expending more than $500 per year but it will take a TON more of work. I take the easy way out and hire people who are more efficient than me. Help the economy :)
