Anyone getting SPAM from people that saving they want to buy TEXT LINKS on your site?

    Anyone getting SPAM from people that saving they want to buy TEXT LINKS on your site?

    I got like 4 people emailed me with the same email format saving that they want to buy links on my site, and all of them mentioned my same site..

    Anyone else got these spams?

    First i thought it was real so i replied to the first one i got a few days ago...

    What are the spammers gaining from this?

    yes, I am receiving of plenty of such spam emails in my accounts. I receive emails for link exchanges and SEO.

    I've got a few. I'm assuming they look up the whois and mail me because I usually have an extra dot in all my whois contact pages and the spam seems to use that mail id. I think they're using it like email verification, once you reply they know for sure that the email address is active.

    I received several such mails as well. There were threads on DP with similar subject some months ago.
