Do NOT promote Water Car Pro by Oliver South

    Just a warning:

I've been promoting Water Car Pro for a week now with minimal success (even though I do well with the similar guides). I examined the website and found the problem.

This sneaky vendor has a script when the visitor leaves the page that offers $10 off! The problem is, when you click this link, you go to PayPal not Clickbank, therefore eliminating the affiliate commission and allowing "Mr. South" to pocket 100% of the sale from YOUR hard work.

He also has a newsletter signup, and I imagine the same is true for that.

I smelled a rat when I noticed that on Clickbank, his Referred percent was around 30%, where most other products are in the 90's.

Just a warning not to be scammed by this guy until he eliminates these problems!

I was making several sales a day with him and than it just dropped off. Thanks for the heads up. Wondering why my earnings went from 100+ per day to 0.

I wasn't promoting that product. But good heads up for those who were. Stupid move on Mr. South's part. He's may make more in the short run but in the long run he won't get any affiliates to stick around with poor conversion rates.

The sites working just fine......he's using a virtual assistant to offer a $10 discount and the discount leads to a paypal button.

I left his assistant with the link to this thread as I know you can view all replies that are entered into the script so he will end up reading this thread and realise how big of a dick he has been and how many potential and actual affiliates he has lost.........

That is just rude. People who treat their affiliates like that will never succeed in this business. Affiliates should be treated like gold, and treating them like a plain resource of traffic will very quickly drain that traffic source.

Thanks for the information. I'm sure the publisher will soon be out of sales if he keeps doing that.

    Hey all,

This is Darren from watercarpro.com. I was just told about this thread so thanks for the feedback.

We have changed the link so that affiliates get credit for ALL sales including the discount, as I've set up a seperate product via clickbank. And we still offer 75% commission (as well as a ton of tools at our affiliates page).

Our product is new to clickbank so we hadn't got around to changing that discount link - and to be honest, very few of the total sales are discounted, so affiliates got credit for basically everything. And of course we have a very good product with few refunds, as you can see from a simple Google search.

If anyone wants to know anything else feel free to email (it's given on our affiliate page).

    That's hilarious.

So will all of the affiliates now be happy that they aren't being ripped off -- only the customers are being ripped off?

Read Water Fuelled Car (before it's edited by some jerkoff) to see what I mean.

    Darren,

Thanks for the response! Obviously, I don't think this should have been happening in the first place, but at least you listened to your affiliates and corrected it. This saves a lot of us having to change sites and setup new campaigns.

    Patchkaa,

Yes, a lot of the FOREX sites do have these scripts, but all the ones I checked redirected to a new clickbank product page and the affiliate still got the credit. I'm all for the discount offer, just make sure I still get credit.

    Everyone else,

Thanks for your input and comments!

    Jim
