    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Frustrated with initial success and then failure of offers.

    OH it happened again!

So I am the original author of this thread. So I turned off the campaign that was doing bad after it's initial success. Well after about 3 weeks break I started it up again. Did great for first 3 days - About 5-10 leads a day. Well for last 5 days...NOT 1 LEAD.

    Oh lord oh lord

You guys are speaking in terms of "hundreds" of clicks over days and weeks. Your traffic is insufficient for establishing what is "the norm".

What you are probably experiencing is a drop in ad position as your quality score settles in. Why? Bad content, bad ads, bad keywords, bad tracking, improper geographical targeting, or any number of other things. That being said - Some offers are simply garbage. There are shady advertisers that work through the networks. Once you locate them - black list them and don't look back. Look into who the parent company of the offer is to avoid doing business with them in the future. I've got a decent list of shavers, non-payers (aka thieves) that I will share via PM if anyone is interested.

In this case however, after reading your posts - I have to go with my gut and say that it is your marketing efforts (or lack of) that are causing your campaigns to tank in the first week. This is a beginner sinkhole, most people have experienced this at some point. To get around this, you must bring in more profit for Yahoo/Google. If you can think of ways to do this, while also meeting your own needs - you will find the light at the end of the tunnel.

I think that it's pretty well documented and their are enough affiliates that have this specific problem....to say that there is something funny going on up front.
