Want to write a privay page but no idea how to

Hi, I would like to write a privacy page for a bookkeeping site but have no idea how to or where to start, can anyone advise.

The site will not be taking any payments on-line or gathering any email addresses. It is a site for business and others tell me it needs one. I just don't know where to start.

    Thanks for any help.

If you are not taking any information through your website (payments, newsletters, logins, etc) you do not need to publish a privacy statement. Privacy statements are strictly for informing visitors on how the information they entered on the website is stored and shared.

Thanks for that, but I have seen privacy pages on similar websites.

Even sites that don't take info, generally have one to say something about cookies etc - if you do a google search for privacy page templates and similar terms, there are quite a few sites that will give you a guideline.

You can go here for a policy. It's generic, but it might serve your needs.
