    This thread is great thank you. Looks like I'll be switching to name.com, I thought namecheap.com was the only site providing free whois protection, I was wrong and name.com is considerably cheaper.

    The Namecheap interface does look pretty swish, but looking at this list, Name.com looks better & also has free whois protection. :)

    I've always just used godaddy for all my domain and hosting needs.

    May not be the cheapest but they still work very well.
