    well,
    If you connect to vpn server - all your traffic going to virtual tunnel through vpn server. In this case it hide your real ip. All network application work through that tunnel.
    If you you use such services as hide my ass, ninja surfing - only your browser going through hiding proxy, but not other application.
    Each application must adjust separately to work through these services.
    This is very inconvenient and Ñ‚ot all applications are able to work through proxies (e.g. online games, voip, etc)

    I guess that places like Craigslist easily detect that people are using proxy or VPN service and ban the IP?

    Proxy may be detected for standart open ports, but vpn don't detected like a proxy. It loks like a usual ip address.

    What type of logging do you keep. Is the logging tied to the specific ip and the ip is tied to a cc number. If you keep logs how long.

    Do you have an affiliate program and is it in house or outsourced
