Once a PR 4, now a N/A? WTF Google!

    Hey guys,

My website (http://tinyurl.com/3m8c6y) was a PR 4 just a month or so ago, then all of a sudden it got changed to an N/A and no matter what I do it will not come back. This is increasingly getting worst as all my supporters are leaving me.

My site is one year old, has about 250 indexed pages (and I write a new one every day), many of which have their own page ranks. The actual homepage is indexed as well and Google visited about every two or three days. I have no idea what caused this problem or if it will ever go away. Please help.

I had the Sponsored Reviews code installed on my site a few weeks before this happened, but since they always thought I did not have a PR, they never sent me any reviews. Maybe they were seeing the future. (Note: I am 100% sure my site was a PR 4 before.) This code has been removed since I lost my PR.

I had recently installed the DP Co-op Network code on the site as well, but all links were nofollow and Google would not have been able to see that code since it is PHP-based. I have had this removed since the loss of PR as well.

Also, I had installed the Wordpress WP-Cache plugin right before this happened and was also having problems with my .htaccess file (it was pointing to a different domain). I have since fixed the .htaccess file, and wp-cache was removed, but now I put is back as I seriously doubt that is a problem.

I do have Text-Link-Ads on the site and have had them since a few months after my site started (a year ago). Google never had any problems with this and also would not be able to see the PHP code. Though I did recently change the ads to display only on the front page before this happened, but now they are back on every page.

There is nothing else that I find relevant. I have been building links these last few weeks from reputed sites in the same niche, but nothing has changed. I am really perplexed. Please help! Thanks in advanced!

The reason is you are selling paid links blogpost. Thats why google take away your precious PR. This happened to me twice. Google detect it or someone report you.

And this is the fact if you are selling or putting link from your home page or PR page then your PR is go away, B'coz it will be distributed with others links

How would Google detect it exactly? There is no way of them verifying I am selling links. What if I get rid of the Text-Link-Ads?

I am well aware that outbond links will lower my PR, but I just have about 15 outbound links, most of which are link exchanges. This is not sufficient to take me from PR 4 to N/A.

Report by a competitor, google has a special form to report link selling, takes like 30 seconds OR automatic detection, since google closely monitors textlink selling networks and sites.

True, those links wouldn't ever hurt your PR that dramatically.

Wow, I never thought of this. My site is probably listed right there. Can I do anything about this? How else am I supposed to make money off my site. Especially with no PR now...

:( I'm sad if that is the case. They haven't blocked my site or anything. It is still on search results, just no PR. Anyone have any experience with this?

EDIT: If there is really now way of getting my PR back, what do you guys think of just getting a new domain? Transferring the content could be potentially bad... Any other thoughts?

^ maybe you've been punished by Google. You may create an account to Google Webmaster tool, and request for reconsideration. allow several weeks for the re-evaluation process. maybe you can regain your lost PR.

I hope not. I love Google. Why do they hate me so much? (Rhetorical question...)
Anyways, I have a Google Webmaster account, but don't see exactly where I can submit my site for re-evaluation.

Thanks a bunch. I thought it would be in the site specific zone, but since I have many sites on there it is on the area before I enter any sites' stats.

I just joined PayPerPost...same kind of thing as sponsored reviews...and reading the PPP forums, it's normal to lose your PR if you have any kind of PPP or sponsored reviews code on your blog...
