Hi, by the end of the week i want to have at least 1 affiliate site up. But for a starter what would be a good number to have? Also would they all be on the same topic of sell different things.

Start with just one site... expand and tweak it. Learn from it... Once you feel you got it working pretty well or if it's not working at all... start developing another site. You first want to grasp what worked or what didn't work with the first site, so you don't repeat the same mistakes on your second site. Because if you expand too quickly without knowing what works, you will most likely end up wasting time and money in the long run. Good luck! Just don't forget that Affilate Marketing takes a lot of work when you first get started, so be prepared to put in a lot of hours.

Yes, the first thing you learn in Project Management is to finish one project completely before working on another.

I was going to explain the whole thing, but basically get one done and making money and work on #2. When #2 is done and making money, work on #3.

(Sounds like I should take some of my own advice.)

start with one site for now, get a system down, how you build and monetize it. rinse and repeat for new niches.
you could always build blogs using (wordpress.com / squidoo / weebly.com etc) to tackle some of the other niches while working on the big site.
