    What are free domains worth ? I bought of some domain the:
    .com
    .net
    .org
    .info

    is it smart to also get the free domains like .tk and .co.cc or is it just a waist of time ?

    Free domains are worth nothing as they are technically subdomains that don't belong to you.

    You can get them to avoid someone else grab your name, but you cannot expect big response and you cannot sell them either.

    those co.cc and .tk are not domains...those are only redirects ...so your host still remains that subdomain if you will put the mouse over an link you will see your link not www...tk/html or www.....co.cc/......html

    Exactly, there is no harm but as a protection measure and you can always redirect these free domains to your TLD extensions ;)

    hehe its nou about money i bought the .com/.net/.org and .info of the domain in my sig :p Im just wondering if its worth getting extra free domains

    ive been wanting to practice [since im only 2 months into owning a server]

    but the co. cc names have given me great practice on setting up addon domains and installing software
    [plus i figured havin the extra meta tags and domain name might help search rankings]

    and thats not exactly true.. you can set up the DNS to point to a sub-domain on your server and
    viola... yourthing .co .cc /indexphp etc etc..

    Well i have had one client with an owned .tk address with DNS, if you think its worth it is worth it is is $7/year, but i wouldnt get as the only domain.

    Totally! crap physically no more value plus in Web Search Engines too, tested long away back in 2004 no more results optimized
