What's the best options for paid advertising for Forum?

    I'd like to get a music/guitar forum kicked off. I'm willing to spend some money in advertising for it but trying to figure out what would be the best bang for my buck. Ideas?

    For this type of enterprise I would look into Facebook's PPC program.

    Facebook allows you to target by interests so your ad would only be shown to users who are interested in muisc/guitars.

    This probably couldn't be your only source but it would drive some great, targeted traffic.

    I would hunt down related forums manually one by one and advertise either directly or via 3rd party company such as Adwords.
