    Hello.

My friend Halobits is Scottish. I asked him if they have Mountain Dew (a soda). He said they don't, but he drinks Irn Bru. I never heard of that, so I asked him to send it to me. And he did! He sent along some other candy as well too. Check out what I got:

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I already drank the irn bru. you can watch me drink it here: Stickam Video

And now I'm about to try the Double Decker. I'll keep bringing the candies in one at a time and giving you updates on how they taste.

and if you don't live in the USA I would love for you to send me your local candy/soda/food/drink and I would happily send you some back!

Double Decker: The wrapper says it is a milk chocolate with chewy nougatine and crisp cereal filling.

the chocolate and nougate is very soft and delicious. a lot like a snickers. but then there is a rice crispy type cereal. it has the same crunch as a nesley's crunch.

    overall very tasty.

thanks for the predictions, maybe as an american I'll think differently though. What sort of cheese do you recommend for the oatcakes?

I will be sending out a sampling to my fellow americans if there is enough to go around.

Oh how could I forget to describe the bru....

well I didn't care for it. It tasted just like the bubblegum that came in a pack of baseball cards. Exactly like it. I let some other office mates try it, they agreed with me or they claimed it tasted just like an orange popsicle/dreamsicle. I don't know what they are talking about. Some said it was great, some said "i'd drink it, but it's not that good" and others agreed it just wasn't the soda for them.

Depends what kind of cheese you like...I'm quite partial to some smoked cheese, applewood or bavarian:).

Guess the bru is an acquired taste, or just the best thing around here you can get (no MD...). Seems to be pretty big in Russia for some reason...from what I know anyway.

So maybe two stars ok in a pinch but nothing to write home about. Dew can not be toppled. Some say someday others say it has been both are wrong. Some people's taste buds are wacked man. They liver and things that make me as a Troll sick.

No accounting for taste they say guess that is true here. :D

Can't advise on the cheese front: not a big cheese fan. Honey on oatcakes is more my cup of tea. :)

Everything I can think of is either an international product or highly perishable... got anything in mind that you'd like from here?
