What technique you use in driving traffic?

Give your website visitors a reason to stop back, thats when you can build good traffic. I have a URL website submitter to Google,Yahoo,MSN, Alexa, and DEMOZ on my front page. Rather than typing in 5 urls to submit a website, I have everything on 1 page. It may sound kinda dumb, but its convient and I get lots of repeat traffic. I know harvesting emails is another good method for traffic, but you need to have a strong reason for your signups to come back to your website, (Ex. Big Sale, Free Stuff.) Also, your mass emails need to be written properly, Dont just put "Shoes Sale 50% off" you got to bait them and then reel them in, say something like "Massive Shoe sale, Prices too low to list, Check them out Now at: ABCShoeStore.com

i have a free and traditional methode but it wirks just fine ^^ :
1.Write a good unique content
2.optimize your meta tags(title,keywords,descriptions,...)
3.Create a sitemap and submite to serche engine(especially google,yahoo,and MSn ...)
4.Link exchange with other related or non related websites(prefered to be better ranked than yours but not high ranked..)
5.Submit your website to directories
6.use social bookmark and social networks to geerate good traffic(Digg.com,stumbleUpon.com,ect...)
7.Use videos sharing website to promote your website(Youtube.com,dailymotion.com,videos.google.com,ect...)
8.provide free services,good support,to your visitors and e friendly with them if you want that they remember your website^^
9.if you are at school write your website in the board^^,in the halls,ect..,if you are at work^^ write your website on your boss's Car^^(because it's the most popular car in your work lol)
10.to finish...try to focus on content like someone said "Content IS the King"

 

Most of your method i tried b4 and it works. Methods that i tried are number 4 5 6 and i agree strongly with number 10 =)

 

Search engines plays a vital role in Driving traffic to the website. Hence the websites Ranking in Search engines should b higher..

i would like to add that videos sharing websie(youtube,google videos,dailymotion,ect...)plays also a role of targetting a quality traffic to your websites...

 

Well if your an affiliate for aff on CJ like I am don't worry your secret is safe with me.

Although I agree that diversification is key, I disagree that search engine trafic is fickle. lol. If done right search engine optimization is by far the biggest traffic source for any online business.

Yes I have seen some of the usfreeads outrank "some"of my targeted keywords in Google.

This guy knows what he's talking about. I had a few PM conversations with him.

 

Search engines can drive a ton of targeted traffic to your site, so I'd recommend that.

 

This is simple, but actually brilliant. Any tool that people like to use = repeat visitors.
I started a search engine page with the top 5 search engines on the same page. The reason I stopped is because people decide which SE they like and just use that one. However, the idea is good.

Well sun and kisses, I have read through your entire thread because this is what I do. I have previously used every single meathod mentioned in this thread. I am not a big fan of social media and article marketing. (although I have spend days researching successful article marketers) this thread only reassures me that I am a marketexpert. If your read my threads you will realize that I am a very cocky individual. Everyone that knows me personally knows that I am cocky for a reason. I am very specialized. I am great at the things I do and I hire people to do the things that they can do better.

First I will say that I am not online to have fun. This MY job and it pays my bills.

I published a set of youtube videos 4 weeks ago and the best one is at 3,800 views now. 1/20 visits my sales page.

I get about 6 visits per day from my sigs in forums. (pathetic)

I used Google adsense on a page with mass generic traffic with great results.

I have used over 30 PPC search engines.

I currently own several blogs that allow my posts to appear in Google within 10 minutes.

I have 5 products of my own that I sell for 100% profit.


Ok, I could add all night to the list of meathods mentioned in this thread. I always keep a close watch on the latest traffic genarating meathods. Instead I will tell you what works best for me.

I have been creating websites for years. Why publish content on some website that deos not have any interest in your success?

I create presell pages for the top affiliate programs in the world. I create pages of unique content and am very good at attracting potential customers with my words. I make websites that show up in all the major search engines within days of creation.

Tip:
Don't chase after customers. Go to where THEY ARE.
80% of online purchases begin with a major search engine.

I use MySpace, Blogging, forums, article marketing, safelists

 

One of the ways some and myself use is yahoo groups. Find a niche that suits you and treat them like a forum.
Participate in the group niche. I blast a number of groups by email depending on the category I am into. It can be a great way to not only get traffic in the short term but also snag some affiliate sales.
