$50 Adwords Promotional Code Error?

    I got an email from and The email states Analyitics and Adwords a powerful combo. So I read it and it seemed fake but everyting was indeed pointing to google.com so I logged into adwords and I put in the promo code and it said that the promo code expired. I looked at my email and it was sent 6 hours ago. How can this be possible.

    I think is because It only applies for new accounts.
