Hey programming aficionados! I'm in the market for a good coupon site script that I could use to put local merchant coupons on. I came across couponscript.com, but before I drop $99, I was wondering if there are any cheaper and/or better ones out there. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
DO NOT BUY Don't bother with couponscript.com its just that a script, its not mature. It is very BAD code (I am sitting here trying to clean it for a client) for example ... in the search, for the 8 or so cirteria it has ... it build a like statement in a list then loops through each one separately, opening a database connection getting rows in another "found" list, and then closing the database connection ... NEXT CRITERIA same thing all over .... the for each "found" record it loops through those AGAIN in the database ONE AT A TIME to grab the record it just HAD, opening and closing a database connection for each record. If you site hoped to get any decent traffic, this script would make sure they wouldn't find anything at your site. I am not in competition with couponscript.com in any manner, Im just trying to get the word out as I dont want to go into ppl's sites over and over fixing the same things all day for extra cash ... this is the worst script ever, and at was at one time very much open to SQL injections, which they did the VERY least they could do possible to patch them up (variables are still not binded) I wouldn't hopw you would pay more than $5 for this script DO NOT BUY
